DHL, one of the world’s leading logistics companies, is a pioneer in implementing eco-friendly logistics solutions. In 2008, it became the first company in the industry to set concrete goals to limit environmental impact and contribute to the planet’s protection.
GoGreen is DHL’s innovative program designed to reduce the environmental impact of logistics operations and actively promote ecosystem protection. Participating companies can track and offset the CO₂ emissions generated by their shipments through investments in certified climate protection projects.
In 2024, Bucci Industries chose to join GoGreen Plus, DHL’s advanced sustainable shipping solution, to lower emissions from international air freight with a reduced corporate impact.
The Plus service is based on a “carbon insetting” approach, which aims to reduce CO₂e emissions generated by shipments through investments in sustainable practices directly within the company’s supply chain.
A concrete example is the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), which can reduce emissions from air freight shipments with DHL by up to 30%.
Joining the GoGreen Plus program is just one of the many initiatives Bucci Industries is implementing on its path toward a more sustainable future.
